A Canadian cop is under investigation after he was caught on video kicking a kneeled suspect in the face Friday.
The suspect – who had already suffered a brain injury from a motorcycle accident – was reportedly shooting a gun on a golf course before he was pulled over.
It turns out, Buddy Tavares was a former employee of the golf course who had a permit to scare away the geese with the gun, which seems kind of reckless in itself.
Nevertheless, he did not emerge from his truck with the gun when he was pulled over by RCMP Constable Geoff Mantler.
But that still didn’t stop Mantler from kicking him in the face.
Tavares ended up lying in a pool of his own blood.
Police found a shotgun in his truck and charged him with careless use of a firearm. He was still in jail as of this writing. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
