Police Handcuff And Detain Teen For Photographing Trains In NY

A 16-year-old kid was handcuffed and detained for photographing trains in White Plains, New York earlier this month.

Gregory Grice is a railfan, a train enthusiast, which means he is a terrorist in the eyes of police.

He was using his iPhone to record the horn of a train when police confronted him.

He ended up recording almost two hours of his detainment.

He posted a three-minute audio clip in the above Youtube video.

In the clip, we can hear police giving him a hard time for “kneeling down with a device.”

This caused so much alarm that four police agencies ended up responding to the scene.

When Grice asked the cops why they needed to handcuff him, one of the responded with:

“Cause I don’t want to get hurt. I got my name on my shirt and I don’t know who you are.”

If this officer is so terrified of teens with cameras, then maybe he should find a new line of work.

Grice was issued a summons for “unlawfully entering and remaining on RR property” and has a court date next month.
