As parishioners rejoiced in the name of the Lord Sunday, Kobe Bryant suspected a fellow churchgoer of snapping his photo.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar snatched the man’s phone and examined it, quickly realizing the young man had not snapped his photo.

Bryant returned the phone and left the church before the service was complete.

The man with the phone ended up going to the hospital with a minor wrist sprain.

Now San Diego police are investigating the incident that took place at St. Therese of Carmel Church in the upscale neighborhood of Carmel Valley, according to the Los Angeles Times.

We know from past incidents that police find it acceptable for people to assault or threaten other people who take their photos, so it will be interesting to see how this case turns out.
