A Louisiana deputy barged his way into a home without a warrant and arrested a man under questionable circumstances in a video that is quickly going viral after it was posted on Facebook Tuesday.

The video begins with a Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputy forcing his way into the home of a man who is clearly clueless as to what crime he supposedly committed.

But despite him repeatedly asking, the deputy refuses to say anything beyond “resisting arrest.”

In other words, contempt of cop.

The man also repeatedly says he is in fear for his life, which is why he is not allowing himself to be arrested although he is not violently defending himself either, just not allowing his hands to be cuffed as he asks why he is being arrested.

The man recording appears to be a neighbor and is also confused as to why the deputy was arresting his friend. By the end of the video, another deputy has entered the home and is assisting with the arrest.

No other information is available at this time but I will update story as more info is made available.

UPDATE: The local media provide more details but police have yet to provide a valid explanation as to why they barged into the man’s home like that. However, they claim the man they arrested, Donrell Breaux, committed battery on the deputy, which is not visible on the video.

In the video, 26-year-old Donrell Breaux asked the deputy why he was trying to enter a River Ridge home. What followed was recorded on a mobile phone.

The video was posted to Facebook Tuesday night and quickly went viral. The video was shared on Facebook thousands of times within hours.

The I-Team talked with Breaux Wednesday night.

When asked why the deputy was at the home, Breaux said, “I think one of the neighbors called them because we was cussing and cutting up on the porch.”

When the deputy arrived, Breaux says he did not identify himself and tried to force his way into the residence.

The video shows the deputy trying to handcuff Breaux, and one can clearly hear Breaux repeatedly asking the officer why he is being arrested.

The deputy responded, “I don’t answer to you.”

Breaux says he was arrested and charged with battery of a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
