South Carolina police released dash cam video from Michael Slager’s patrol car from the traffic stop where he pulled over Walter Scott, the man he ended up shooting in the back that led to murder charges against the officer.

The video shows the North Charleston police officer pull Scott over into a parking lot, telling him the reason for the stop is a broken brake light.

After Slager takes Scott’s information and returns to his car, Scott steps out of his car and takes off running because he knew he had a warrant out for his arrest related to child support payments.

Slager also steps out and chases after him, but the chase takes place off camera. – Columbia, South Carolina
